FOR AI CODING WAITS

Turn AI coding wait time into a prediction game.

Token Goblin makes the short wait around an AI coding agent, build, test, or export playable without pretending to monitor the underlying work. Track any task manually, or use CLI automation for terminal commands when you want the run to start and finish from a shell.

AT A GLANCE

  • Manual tracking for any task
  • CLI automation for terminal commands
  • 25 XP per finished run
  • +75 XP for a correct call
  • No account or cloud history

Seven-day full access. One-time lifetime unlock. Apple shows the current localized price in the Mac App Store.

What you predict

Choose from six outcomes: passes under estimate, a suspiciously clean pass, asks for permission, touches 10+ files, fails successfully, or runs past the clock. The app matches the outcome from the estimate and the result details you enter when the work finishes.

This is a game about making a call before the result is known. Token Goblin does not read prompts, source code, repository contents, terminal output, or file paths.

A fair, local score

Completed runs always add 25 XP, and a correct prediction adds a fixed 75 XP bonus. Incorrect calls do not deduct XP. History, achievements, preferences, and the active run stay in the app’s local storage.

From demo to daily use

First launch opens a four-step onboarding tour and offers a three-second demo. After that, start from the menu bar or dashboard, review a private run history, and export a PNG receipt when you choose. Settings includes reset and clear-history controls, plus sound, haptics, overlay, and launch-at-login preferences.

Common questions

What is Token Goblin?

Token Goblin is a native macOS menu bar game for the short waits created by AI coding agents, builds, tests, and exports. Start a run, make a prediction, finish the real outcome, earn XP, and keep the receipt.

Does Token Goblin read my code, prompts, or terminal output?

No. Token Goblin does not read prompts, source code, repository contents, terminal output, or file paths. The CLI sends only the task details and result metrics you explicitly provide.

How does Goblin XP work?

Every finished run earns 25 XP. A correct prediction adds a fixed 75 XP bonus. XP is an accumulated score only and cannot be bought, spent, transferred, redeemed, or exchanged.
